Kapruner River walk ... Kaprunertal Valley
The scenery was beautiful walking up the valley along the river. The peaks in the distance are in Hohe Tauren National Park. The glacier area at Kitzsteinhorn is a popular tourist destination, reached by a series of lifts. The are also power generating stations, power lines and reservoirs throughout the valley.

We're now walking upriver from the Gorge. Heading towards a glacier mountain railway.

The trail was well marked. The signage is starting to make sense to us!

The path took us right through this field. We waited a bit while the cows moved away from the gate.

This picture made us laugh!! The top sign is the road name. The bottom one says "tit for tat" & then "please take it away". A cow doing it's business in the driveway is hilarious!!

This is the glacier mountain railway station we walked to. It's one of the many in this area of the eastern Austrian Alps.

Not sure how far this goes, we didn't ride up. We're not into downhill skiing and we've not looking for snow!

One of the many streams flowing into the Kapruner River.

Looking back up the valley over the Klammsee reservoir. Nearing the end of our walk. Lots of families out enjoying the beautiful day.

We are at the end of the trail looking down at where we started walking on the boardwalk.
