Wengen, Switzerland ... part 2
Schilthorn-Piz Gloria summit is at 9,744' with 360 degree views of the Swiss Skyline. Getting there involves train, bus and 4 cable cars. Schilthorn was featured in the James Bond movie, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Many scenes were filmed here.

Stopped for lunch in Gimmelwald. It's the 1st transfer point on the way to Schilthorn. A small village with a beautiful view. Charcuterie boards & beer
are staples here.

Cable cars were our least favorite lift, seriously packed in like sardines! This one wasn't as crowded as most.

Posing with the 1969 James (George Lazenby) Bond. This is now the panoramic platform. Then it was a curling rink! Need to watch that movie again.

Views in every direction from the top of Schilthorn.

We stopped at the mid station, Birg, on the way down from Schilthorn. There's a restaurant with a big deck looking out at Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Trümmelbach Falls is a series of 10 water falls thundering down inside a mountain. Sounds like a freight train & if you stand still, you can feel the vibration in the rocks. It moves 5280 gallons of water a second!!

There was a funicular elevator up and then a series of stairs, walkways and tunnels through the mountain. The water comes from the glaciers melting high above.

This is an Ibex. It was grazing next to the trail leading down from the Falls.

The wildflowers have been gorgeous!
