Seefeld,
Austria
After leaving Mayrhofen, we took trains back through Innsbruck to Seefeld.
We're working our way towards Munich, where we fly home on July 20th. Seefeld
is located on a high plateau between 2 mountain ranges. It's a popular cross
country ski area. The region is made up of different villages with many outdoor
activities. We enjoyed hiking between the villages and to the mountain huts.

& aged for 10-20 years or more! Truly a labor of love. |

A suspension bridge over the Leautacher Gorge. A steel
walkway leads thru the gorge. We were surprised that there was no fee
to visit. Even with the rain, there were many people along the paths. |
This is a historic ring fence that borders property to protect crops & animals. Fencing rights were established in the Middle Ages & are still recorded today. This is an example of a traditional fence. Austria is reviving the art & craftsmanship of fence construction. |
This is the Tirolan version of coca cola. This is often
what we got when asking for coke zero. Wasn't bad! |
