May 20 - Today we hiked Buckskin Gulch starting from the Wirepass trailhead between Page, AZ & Kanab, UT. Buckskin Gulch is a 22 mile slot canyon, one of the longest in the world. The rock formations are amazing with steep narrow sandstone walls. The road in to the trailhead was a bit rough, 8.5 miles of washboard gravel. Our black van is now beige!

The walls were "kinda" close together! Good there hasn't been any rain…we had nowhere to go!!

We are now in Buckskin Gulch. Note the tree spanning the walls over Roxy's head. Some of the walls are 500 feet above the streambed.
