Sightseeing ... Back in Bend
After visiting Mom and 5 of our Aunties in Minnesota, we got back on the Empire Builder train heading to Portland. It was a 36 hour trip over 2 nights. We watched the scenery, listened to audio books, read, slept a bit and stretched our legs at the fresh air?? (smoke break) stops. In Portland, we walked to a bakery and picked up lunch to go before the 3 1/2 hour bus ride to Bend. Our friends, Deb & Perrin, picked us in Bend and we've enjoyed the last week visiting and helping out with a few projects on their farm. We hoped to play some golf but the weather didn't cooperate. We've become fair weather golfers after winters in Arizona!
