Mom's Hot Mexican Appetizers

soften 4 -8 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
mix well with 1 pkg (2 envelopes) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
add: 3 small cans diced green chilies and
add: 2 small cans drained, sliced black olives
add: 1 can diced Jalapenos (more heat can be added if you like them hot)
mix well
Spread a heaping tablespoon of the mix on tortillas and roll like you would a jelly roll.
Place in aluminum foil and roll to cover, takes about 12" square piece.
Refrigerate at least 24 hours before eating.
Will keep 3-4 weeks in refrig.

Marge's Grape Salad

4 lbs Grapes, red or green or a combo
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Sugar
8 oz. Sour Cream
1 Tsp. Vanilla
Mix the grapes with above mixture and put into a 9 x 13 dish.
Top with 1 cup chopped pecans
Cover and Chill
I use light cream cheese and sour cream
I also use splenda for the Sugar

 

Pecan Rolo's on a Pretzel

Bag of Rolo's
Bag of Pecans 1/2 size
Bag of square waffle pretzels
foil
miniature baking cups, 100

Foil the cookie sheets, put out the pretzel squares, put a rolo on each square, turn oven to 350 and when it beeps turn it off and put in cookie tray. In 3 minutes take out cookie tray and push a pecan onto each rolo, let cool and put into miniature baking cups.

Arizona Tea Mix in the powdered drink
mixes (like crystal tea)
Crystal Light Lemonade Mix
follow instructions on the container.
Each container has 6 tubs.
Add 2 cups or 8 quarts of cold water to each tub
and add them together .... delicious

 

Broccoli Coleslaw

1 package of Broccoli Coleslaw
2 cups peanuts
4 cups green grapes
1 small package of frozen green peas
1 bottle poppyseed dressing

Cup the green grapes in half, mix everything together and put in refrig. overnight

Something Special

1 - 16 oz whole berry cranberry sauce, 1 jar
2 - 3/4 cup of Chili Sauce, Heinz glass jar
3 - 1/4 cup of water
4 - 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs (2, 1-lb packages)
Thaw the meatballs, put the 1st 3 items in the bottom of a crockpot and stir, add meatball and spoon the sauce over the top, put the lid on the crockpot, put it on low, and leave it for 3-4 hours.

Serve with steamed vegetables, something green, and pasta ... yum, yum, yum.
